Expecting a Baby? We’re So Glad You’re Here.
Welcoming a new baby is an exciting—and sometimes overwhelming—time. Whether this is your first child or you’re growing your family, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Our pediatric team loves meeting families before their baby arrives. Getting to know each other early helps ensure a smooth, confident start once your little one is here.
When Should You Choose a Pediatrician?
Most families choose a pediatrician during the third trimester, but it’s never too early to reach out. We’re happy to connect at any point during your pregnancy.
- Ask questions about newborn care
- Learn about our practice and care philosophy
- Feel confident about who will care for your baby from day one
Prenatal Meet & Greets
We offer prenatal consultations for expecting parents. These visits can be in person or virtual and are designed to be relaxed and informative.

- Feeding questions (breastfeeding, formula, or combination feeding)
- Newborn sleep and development
- Vaccination schedules
- How to reach us with questions or concerns
- Our approach to caring for children and families
There’s no pressure—this is simply a chance to see if we’re the right fit for your family.
Your Baby’s First Visit
Your baby’s first pediatric visit typically takes place within 24–72 hours after hospital discharge.
- Check your baby’s growth and overall health
- Answer questions about feeding, sleep, and diapering
- Review newborn screenings and vaccines
- Provide guidance and reassurance for the early days at home
To set up your newborn’s first appointment:
- Call our office the day you are being discharged from the hospital. Make sure to obtain a copy of the discharge papers to bring with you to your first appointment.
- Print and fill out the patient registration forms. Alternatively, you can preregister online.
- Arrive to your first appointment 15 minutes early to finish up any paperwork. Please bring your photo ID, your baby’s insurance card, and the discharge papers from the hospital.
